We are petitioning the South Western Railway (SWR) Zone, the Ministry of Railways, and local elected representatives to introduce a new daily commuter train service operating from Yesvantpur to Hosur at 09:45:AM and a return service from Hosur to Yesvantpur at 07:00 PM.
Every single day, thousands of IT and tech professionals, industrial workers, and daily commuters endure a grueling 4-hour round-trip journey on the road between Bengaluru (Yesvantpur) and the industrial hub of Hosur.
Navigating through severe traffic bottlenecks like Silk Board, Electronic City, and the Outer Ring Road causes immense physical exhaustion and mental stress, drastically reducing the quality of life for working professionals.
By introducing a strategic 09:45 AM train from Yesvantpur to Hosur and a 07:00 PM return train from Hosur to Yesvantpur, the Indian Railways can provide a massive relief to this massive workforce.
Why This Train is Urgently Needed:
• Drastic Reduction in Travel Time: A direct train will bypass road traffic entirely, cutting down a stressful 2-hour one-way road commute to a predictable, smooth rail journey.
• Environmental Impact & Fuel Conservation: Transitioning thousands of commuters from private cars, cabs, and company buses to a single electric train will save thousands of liters of fuel daily and significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions.
• Noise and Air Pollution Control: Fewer vehicles on the Hosur road means a direct reduction in the heavy smog and constant honking that plagues the Bengaluru-Hosur highway corridor.
