The GSA of Inglewood Middle School is asking for gender neutral bathrooms to better support the needs of LGBTQIA+ students. LGBTQIA kids are already more likely to suffer from mental health issues. According to the Trevor Project, schools that affirm students' identities are directly linked to a decrease in LGBTQIA+ youth committing suicide. One of the many ways we are able to support LGBTQIA+ students at Inglewood Middle School is by introducing gender-neutral bathrooms.
