Update (20 Nov 2025)

New Information has been released by Queensland Police regarding Arnie, the German Shepherd. It is now reported that no vehicle theft occurred. Arnie was left inside the vehicle and was later found deceased.

The male owner has been allegedly charged with a breach of duty of care under the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001. The matter is expected to appear before a Brisbane Court next month.

This update is provided to ensure the petition reflects the latest information. The purpose of the petition remains the same, to advocate for stronger legal protections for pets.
