As an avid Overwatch player and proud Iranian, I am urging Blizzard Entertainment to introduce an Iranian hero into Overwatch. This game has captivated millions worldwide, including myself, providing players not only with a thrilling experience but also with an enriching one through its diverse characters. Each hero brings to life stories and cultures from around the globe, yet Middle Eastern representation remains missing.

Overwatch's current multicultural cast is a testament to Blizzard's commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Heroes like Genji, Symmetra, and Mei offer players the chance to engage with different cultures, helping to foster global understanding and respect. Yet for many players from the Middle East, particularly Iran, this game still lacks characters who represent their heritage and stories.

Having an Iranian hero isn’t just about filling a cultural gap; it’s about providing millions of players with another opportunity to see themselves reflected in the game they love. Representation in media, particularly in a globally popular platform like Overwatch, can inspire players worldwide to appreciate cultures different from their own and encourage those represented to take pride in their heritage.

From Hafez's poetry to groundbreaking scientific achievements, Iranian culture is rich and diverse, providing a wealth of inspiration for developing a new hero. Whether it's a character who harnesses the ancient wisdom seen in Persian mythology or celebrates Iran's modern advancements in technology and art, there are untapped stories ready to be shared with the world through this game.

On a personal note, becoming a voice actor is my professional dream, and seeing a character that represents my culture in one of my favorite games would be a significant milestone. It would not only mean more visibility for Middle Eastern players like myself but might also open doors for aspiring voice actors from underrepresented backgrounds.

Blizzard Entertainment has the opportunity to continue to lead the gaming industry with innovative storylines that resonate with players from all corners of the globe. By introducing an Iranian hero, Blizzard would be taking a meaningful step towards greater cultural inclusivity and representation.

Please join me in signing this petition to encourage Blizzard Entertainment to enrich the Overwatch universe with an Iranian hero, providing new stories and greater representation for players globally. Together, we can make Overwatch an even more inclusive game for everyone.
