The Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix is a cherished jewel in Melbourne's crown and a sporting spectacular watched by millions in Australia and around the world. 

With such an event on our doorstep and now with the renewal of our prestigious Grand Prix extended to 2037, it would be wonderful for people to have the day to watch while the F1 cars whizz around the track in all their glory. 

It is time we all enjoy what it has to offer and have the Friday to do so, be it on track smelling the tires or in our homes, sports clubs and pubs enjoying the thrills.
