開会式を目前に、署名の最新版をIOCにメールで提出しました。「平和ではなく欲と傲慢の象徴である五輪は恥ずべきものだ」と書き添えました。

もう一つ、先日ご報告しそびれてしまいましたが、郵送した署名に対する返事がIOCから届きました。返事は定型文で内容も薄っぺらいものですが、私達の声は届いています。書簡の画像へのリンクを添付しておきます。

次から次に出てくる五輪関連の不祥事や問題行動・発言、そして悪化する感染状況に、心が折れそうになってもおかしくない状況です。どうか皆様、心身ともに大切にしながら、でも信念は曲げず、今いる場所で声を上げ続けましょう。

I have submitted the latest list of signatures to the IOC via email, along with a message saying the Olympics are a shameful symbol of greed and arrogance, not peace. 

One more update - I received a physical letter from the IOC in response to the petition I mailed them. It's a canned response with little substance, but at least our voices have been acknowledged.  I'm including below the link to my tweet containing the letter images.  

The Olympics seem to be so plagued with so many astounding scandals that some of us may be feeling depressed or overwhelmed. Let's all take good care of ourselves during this difficult time. And let's still keep faith, and raise our voices where we are.  Peace to you all.
