First of all, l would like to offer my sincere apologies for the lack of updates on your Petition for the past 6 months. May l say that it was not intentional and had a lot to do with the fact that not much has happened at the Judicial Panel of Enquiry into the Lekki shootings. However, there was a highly significant development today which pointed at the culpability of the Nigerian Army for the loss of innocent young lives at Lekki toll gate on 20th October 2020. In effect, a forensic expert has provided a damning report to the Panel today which confirmed that the blank ammunition the Nigerian Army said it fired at the peaceful protesters that day, is not of the same calibre as the cartridges collected from the scene. In fact, those cartridges match the  live ammunition of the Nigerian Army which it said it never fired that day. The biggest surprise for me is why the International Criminal Court at The Hague has still not launched a preliminary investigation into the matter. I can only suspect it must be because they are waiting for more innocent lives to be lost in more dastardly crimes against humanity by the Nigerian government headed by President Mohammadu Buhari.
