We received news that Dr. Mohammed Naji Al Asam, was brutally tortured, he lost sight and is unable to walk. He was the official spokesman for the Gathering of Professionals, so he read the declaration of freedom and change on January 1 on behalf of the gatehring  and other goups endorsing the statement. He disappeared a few days later. He is a 28 years young doctor, Rumers say that he was held in a prison of the Security Forces.
Other reports are talking about the death of three demonstrators, one of them is a teacher (Mohamad EL Kheir) and the others are from Darfur.

Following this report, The Teachers' Committee issued the follwoing statement. 

Important statement

The masses of teachers and teachers in the whole of Sudan have rallied behind their cause, and there is no room for retreat now or tomorrow. The sun of this nation will rise, proclaiming the freedom of its people.

Our colleagues teachers and teachers The spirit of martyr Ahmed Al-Khair will guide us in the coming days as we follow his footsteps through:

• Strike in all schools from Sunday, February 3, 2019 until Tuesday, February 5, 2019
• Demand that the perpetrators be brought to an immediate trial
• In case of failure to respond, discontinuation of the primary and secondary certificates

We also direct this statement to the mothers and fathers of our students and students ... The teacher is stripped of his blood and his presentation .. Arrested and raped and thrown on the road .. We must stand in face of a Regime who does thatl .. When the inviolability of education and teacher, there is no choice but confrontation and raising voices in The face of the despot .. Our strike is an invitation to you to protect the flag of this country, there is no meaningful education in light of this catastrophic situation.
