Intel Corporation, a multi-billion-dollar American multinational company, prides itself on its commitment to a more inclusive and responsible workplace, industry and world.

Yet Intel’s Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs, Greg Slater, has been actively responsible for exporting, financing, and spreading hate, homophobia, and the persecution of innocent people in Africa, for years.

Greg Slater is co-founder and staff, along with his wife Sharon Slater, of Family Watch International, a U.S. -based non-profit that finances propaganda about sexual and gender diversity and women’s rights at the UN and in Africa. Family Watch International has been declared a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center for their role in spreading hate both at the UN and in Africa.

For years, Family Watch International has convened African politicians and diplomats in Arizona, USA to train them on their extremist agenda against homosexuality, sexuality education and reproductive rights. Many of these politicians go on to sponsor or support legislation that seeks to persecute innocent Africans, in the process undermining their own human rights commitments and constitutions.

In April 2023, Greg and Sharon hosted and headlined the Africa Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Family Values in Uganda, a platform used to whip up Anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment in African members of parliament and enlist them as extremist crusaders. At the conference, Greg and Sharon insisted that homosexuality is not natural, but rather a result of abusive fathers, overprotective mothers and children who were sexually abused.

Greg and Sharon Slater also supported the draconian Anti-Homosexuality Bill in Uganda which seeks to imprison and kill sexual minorities. Greg Slater’s footprint in promoting ‘kill the gays’ bills is also traceable in Zambia, Ghana, Malawi and Kenya. In fact, a Kenyan Member of Parliament who attended the conference in Uganda submitted a cut-and-paste version of the Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Bill to his parliament immediately after the conference!

Whilst Intel has previously insisted it is committed to building awareness and inclusion around their LGBTQ+ employees, we find this double standard questionable, exclusionary and dishonest.

Greg Slater has been in executive leadership at Intel for 16 years, during which he has championed an assault on the rights of women and sexual and gender minorities in Africa.

Why has Intel turned a blind eye to Slater’s very public extremist actions?

SIGN THE PETITION to demand that Intel immediately terminates Greg Slater’s employment for the harm he is causing in Africa, and publicly stand up for the human rights of ALL people.

Thank you!
