Instruct Union and State Governments to Establish Safe Havens for Street Dogs

The Issue

As someone with a deep love for dogs, I am personally pained by the treatment of street dogs in our communities. Currently, in each state, there are roughly 1 lakh stray dogs struggling to survive under harsh conditions and human cruelty. Nationwide, this equates to millions of dogs without adequate food, shelter, and medical care. Not only is it ethically wrong to ignore this suffering, but it also poses a threat to our public health and safety as the population of stray dogs remain unstabilized.

Our aim is to persuade the Union and all state governments to create large-scale protective farms for these neglected animals. By providing them with safe shelter, reliable food sources, and necessary medical treatment, we can improve the life quality of these dogs tremendously. Such farms would also allow authorities to control the street dog population effectively, reducing the possibility of human cruelty.

As an example, we know dogs can live up to 12 years. This timespan is entirely manageable for state governments to support these animals through designated shelters and healthcare provisions.

Through the establishment of these farms, we create a compassionate environment for these animals, whilst attending to an overlooked social issue. Please support this plea for safe and caring environments for street dogs. Sign the petition urging the union and state governments to act now.
