As someone who grew up playing football in India, I've seen firsthand how corruption and politics can hamper talent and dreams. In my school days, I used to play as a striker, always dreaming, along with my team mates, to take Team India to prestigious platforms like FIFA World Cup. However, corruption has hindered India's growth in the world of football, creating a disconnection between potential and recognition.

During the golden era of Indian football from the mid-1950s to the early 1960s, India was considered one of the best teams in Asia. However, due to corruption and mismanagement, our rank stands at 105 as of 2021, according to FIFA. This has to change. We must strive for a corruption-free selection system, one that seeks the best talent from across the nation, irrespective of their background or political connections.

Inspired by the Anime/Manga series 'Blue Lock,' in which a dedicated facility is set up to select the finest talents from across the country, let us demand the same for Indian football. A system that focuses on talent, not connections. A system that promotes the sport, not political agenda.
