Hi all.  Thanks for supporting our petition to Install Wildlife Protection Fencing on the Monaro Highway.   The petition has now reached 1508 people concerned with road safety and the protection of wildlife.  We also have 69 promoters that together have spent over $1700 to to promote the petition even further gaining around half of the supporters we have.  Many more supporters are needed to sway our local state and federal members to stand up for the issue.  If it can be solved along the Monaro Highway it could become a blue print for how it can be done for other major wildlife impact areas on highways across the country.

If you would like to assist further please go to the contact pages for Steve Whan MP our NSW state representative for Eden Monaro

https://www.stevewhan.com.au/contact-steve/

and Kristy McBain MP our federal representative for Eden Monaro

and Chris Steel MLA in the ACT Gov

and request that they support seeking road safety and environmental grants through a Snowy Monaro Regional Council backed project committee to install a mixture of wildlife protection fencing types, physical and virtual, with underpasses for wombats and slow zones crossing areas to the Monaro Highway in key wildlife corridor locations to reduce the significant amount of vehicle damage and the deadly impact on wildlife.

The bodies are piling up and it is not a necessity.   We as people are better than that.

Regards

Ted Streatfeild
