Our community has witnessed too many tragedies on the A52 stretch of road, especially around Croft Bank, close to Skegness. Lives have been lost, families shattered, heartbroken. All because recklessness on roads isn't sufficiently checked. Accidents continue to happen, some of them evitable. As residents of Skegness and the surrounding areas, we all feel the regress of these accidents. The time has come to curb this cycle of tragedy, and we seek your support in doing so.

Installing additional speed cameras, ideally an average speed check system in this stretch of road, specifically starting just before Wainfleet, may be a step towards curbing accident rates. History and multiple studies have proved that speed cameras effectively slow traffic down and reduce accidents. For instance, a study by the RAC Foundation (2014) found that speed cameras reduced accidents by an average of 15 to 20%.

Through this petition, we invite you, the relevant authorities, to come together, liaise, and hopefully reduce the count of accidents. We believe each signature on this petition reverberates our collective call for this much-needed road safety measure.
