My step brother was involved in a devastating accident at this very location—an accident that tragically claimed his life. Unfortunately, he is not the only victim of this intersection, as numerous accidents have occurred there over the years, resulting in both fatalities and critical injuries.

The Wimmerton Blvd & Rt 30 intersection is notorious for its hazardous conditions. With traffic flowing at high speeds and poor visibility from surrounding curves, it becomes a dangerous crossing for vehicles. Despite numerous incidents and complaints from locals, no significant measures have been taken to enhance the safety of this area. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, intersections like these are high-risk zones, and specific attention is necessary for safety improvements.

We call upon local authorities and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to take swift and decisive action. Installing a traffic light could regulate the flow of vehicles, thereby significantly reducing the risk of collisions. Alternatively, constructing a cement barrier could stop vehicles from turning left out of Wimmerton preventing accidents as well. Implementing these protective measures will not only save lives but will also prevent future families from experiencing the immense loss that ours did.
