Cllr Sean Woodward at HCC has formally responded to the petition and confirms that the recent PV2 survey shows that Hound Road/Way DOES now meet the criteria for a controlled crossing. This is a great step forward. The next step is a feasibility study, which HCC expect to have a positive outcome, and the final step is to identify funding. Cllr Woodward has said "I am determined to find the money to fund it within my budget" Cllr Keith House has said he will help HCC to identify funding and said "I will offer to withdraw every other small works scheme in 2015/16 in the Hamble peninsula area to help build the funding pot." and also said "funding really should be the least of our issues with this." Subject to feasibility study and allocation of funding, HCC hope to have the controlled crossing in place for the start of the next school year in Sept 2015. I will keep updated with progress. I will try to add Cllr Woodward's full response to the petition website, but in the meantime, please see link below to latest article in the Daily Echo. http://m.dailyecho.co.uk/news/11689335.Road_safety_calls_set_to_be_answered_near_Hampshire_school/
