Yesterday I formally sumbitted our 941 signature petition to Councillor Sean Woodward at a HCC meeting in Winchester. BBC South Today were on Hound Road filming children trying to cross the road and interviewing parents. They then came to Winchester to film me handing in the petition. If you missed the 6.30pm South Today on 27th Nov, you can watch it on BBC iPlayer. HCC will be conducting their road survey on Hound Way/Hound Road NEXT WEEK (week commencing 1st Dec) - not sure which day, but will be from 7am to 7pm on that day. The message from Councillor Woodward was 'make sure the road is busy with pedestrians' - I did point out that the road was already busy! But if you sometimes drive your child, it wouldn't hurt to encourage them to walk next week to maximize this opportunity!
