Install more bins on the Bridgewater Canal

Install more bins on the Bridgewater Canal
The Issue
As locals who live in Gorse Hill we often walk along the canal and are dismayed about the rubbish that is left, in part because of a severe lack of bins.
On the stretch of canal from Sale border to Old Trafford there is currently only 1 bin on a 2.3mile stretch. The solitary bin at Stretford marina is constantly over flowing and not sufficient.
This stretch of canal is used by runners, cyclists, dog walkers, match goers and mooring narrow boats and while litter picking helps alleviate the litter problem it isn’t a sustainable solution.
The canal is managed and maintained by Bridgewater Canal Company Limited, a subsidiary of Peel Holdings PLC, who currently own the Salford Quays development.
We are asking for a minimum of 5 more bins to be installed and emptied twice a week, each at entrances to the canal. We understand that bins not near road access would be harder to empty so we are suggesting bins at locations near vehicular access.
Thanks.
