Bringing lights to Wakeman turf field is essential for the betterment of our student athletes and enhancing their overall experience. Currently, our junior varsity (JV) and varsity teams struggle with scheduling games due to the lack of adequate lighting. This often results in games being held earlier in the day, forcing student athletes to miss crucial class hours. The consequence is students falling behind in academics, leading to increased stress and less time for studies.

Furthermore, the condition of the existing grass fields being utilized by JV teams is less than ideal. This negatively impacts the quality of play and increases the risk of injuries. These suboptimal conditions put our students at a disadvantage compared to those at other schools with better facilities.

By installing lights on the Wakeman turf field, we can schedule games later in the day, allowing teams to use the high-quality turf fields and avoid missing school hours.
