Support the Council's plan for a zebra crossing

As mentioned in my last update, North Tyneside Council has published plans for Wallsend town centre,  including changes to West Street and the crossing by the school gate we've all asked for. This is a huge development and I want to thank you for your support so far.

But we haven't won it yet. There is a public consultation on the proposals and we all get a chance to respond by Sunday 8 November. The council will then make its final decision on what to do.

Please take some time to have a look at the link below. There are other changes proposed for West Street (along with other parts of Wallsend)  and you'll have your own views on those - but please make sure you give your support for the crossing!

I'm hoping to speak to the school soon and will see what else we can do ahead of the deadline.
