ONLINE SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Service Request Type: select “Z - Report a Concern Not Listed or Contact Us”
- Service Location: 7405 20A St SE (please include “Harry Huish Park” in the Location Details field)
- in the “Provide Details” section, select “Request a Service” as the Nature of the Inquiry, and either paste the text below in the Details box, or draft your own:
“Harry Huish park is a staple of the community which brings together families & pet owners, providing a space for dogs to run freely and a playground for young children to play in. This park is cut through by a busy road (20A St SE), and lacks appropriate fencing to help protect park-goers and deter animals and young children from running into the road.
After multiple incidents and near misses over the years, we are coming together to request the addition of appropriate fencing surrounding this off-leash park, to minimize potential danger and prevent accidents for park-goers and drivers alike.
We have started a petition that can be found under the following link: https://c.org/Qd6mN6sZWs and are raising this issue to City Counsillor Harrison Clark. We have also been advised to submit requests through 311 to increase attention to this matter, as well as possibly expedite this process. Thank you for your time and consideration.”
You do not need to provide contact details in the 311 form if you do not wish to do so.
We deeply appreciate everyone’s support and kind words throughout this process, and will continue updating you as we receive further information.”
