Instagram and Facebook are actively censoring and deleting Palestinian accounts and content. These platforms play a critical role for Palestinians in Gaza, the occupied West Bank and around the world to communicate with one another. To check in on family, friends and loved ones.

These platforms also serve as a critical tool in evidencing the horrors being undertaken by the Israeli forces in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. War crimes are being committed and attempting to hide this content is another example of corporations and Governments being complicit in these war crimes. 

Instagram and Facebook are not censoring or deleting pro-Israeli accounts, videos of Israeli settlers shooting Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have been reported over 100 times and it was deemed as "acceptable content", however, a video of Palestinian child in Gaza being treated in hospital for white phosphorus burns "breaches community guidelines".

Freedom of speech is critical and its ironic that "the only Democracy in the middle east" (Israel) is spending billions of dollars on advertising schemes, paying influencers and using its influence over corporations such as Instagram and Facebook to get 1 narrative out to the world. It begs the question, what are they trying to hide? Oh yes, genocide.
