School District attempts to prevent discussion of Playground!

It's clear that change is overdue, and it's up to us, as a community, to make it happen. Our children deserve better than playgrounds that are outdated, inaccessible, and uninspiring. They deserve spaces where they can play freely, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds. That's why I'm calling on every one of you to join us in this movement for change.
Together, we can build a playground that reflects the values of inclusivity, collaboration, and respect that we hold dear. But we can't do it alone. We need your support, your ideas, and your voices to make this vision a reality.
Join us in demanding accountability from our PAC executives. Demand transparency, demand inclusivity, demand respect for all members of our community. Together, we can create a brighter future for our children and for generations to come.
In addition to reclaiming control over our playground project, we must also stand up against attempts by the School District to undermine our efforts and stifle our voices. It's unacceptable that they would try to control the funds we've raised and dictate the direction of our Parent Advisory Council meetings. We cannot let this unconstitutional overreach go unchallenged.
We demand the right to freely discuss, question, and share our thoughts on all matters concerning our children's education and well-being. We refuse to be silenced or sidelined by bureaucratic interference. Our voices matter, and we will not be silenced.
Join us in asserting our rights as parents and community members. Together, we can push back against these unjust actions and ensure that our voices are heard loud and clear. Let's stand together and fight for the future of our children and our community. Are you ready to take a stand?
TWO THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP RIGHT NOW
1). Send an email to the PAC executive at HPE: pmhighlandparkpac@gmail.com
- If you aren't a parent at our school, ask them if you can attend the meeting on March 7th at 7:00 pm as a non-voting member
- tell the PAC executive that you would like to hear about, discuss and learn about the playground at this upcoming meeting
- remind them of their constitutional duty to let the parents of the school determine the PAC meeting agenda
2). Share this petition with 5 people. Friends, co-workers, gym buddies, neighbours and community representatives (MLA, school board, religious organization, advocacy group).
Though knowledge is power, high-ranking positions hold sway. As everyday parents, we believe in our potential to effect change. But without unity in our community, our efforts stand incomplete.
For the kids!
