I am writing to you as a concerned member of the Solana at the Crossing community.  I learned yesterday that the apartment break-ins have started once again.  To date, we have had at least 12 apartments or automobiles broken into in the past six months.  I have lived here nearly two years and the first 18 months there wasn’t a single theft in our community.  While crime doesn’t have a zipcode, the thefts coincided with the front gate becoming non-operational.  This allows access for criminals to drive into our community and easily get out once a theft has occurred.  While the gate is fully functional now, it cannot be used due to a lawsuit with the assisted living community.  Their claim is that emergency vehicles cannot get into the community without delay.  This is currently being handled in the court system.  However until that case is heard and dealt with, I feel we need the use of a private security company.  It is my hope that you will sign the petition to request that Inland Residential hire a private security company to provide us the peace of mind and safety, which we all deserve, in our community.
