It’s personal. As an American Citizen watching President Trump firing 18 independent government agents has been highly disturbing. These agents were pivotal in holding our government accountable, but they were shut down every time they came too close to unmasking his unaccountable behaviors. This is just one of the many troublesome instances that have happened since he assumed office. In firing those who seek to uphold the truth, President Trump has shown a clear disregard for transparency and accountability. Additionally, his frequent attempts to manipulate public perception for his own ends have generated more distrust in our democratic institutions. The very foundations of our nation demand that no person be above the law, not even the President. Therefore, based on this pattern of behavior, we urge Congress to consider the initiation of impeachment proceedings against President Trump.
