Initiate Dialogue for Tibetan Autonomy at the 2025 UN General Meeting

The Issue

I am a Tibetan, pained by the Chinese occupation of our homeland since 1959. Our voice has been silenced, our identity threatened, and our autonomy stripped away. This isn't merely a political brawl; it's the very essence of my culture, history, and identity that's at stake. As per the International Campaign for Tibet Report of 2019, human rights abuses are rampant in Tibet with religious freedom and freedom of speech being the most violated rights.

The Middle Way solution, as proposed by the Dalai Lama, offers a peaceful way forward. It doesn't demand complete independence but a high degree of autonomy, where Tibetans can preserve their culture, language, and religion while still remaining under the Chinese administration. We appeal for the initiation of a dialogue built around this solution.

Our plea is that China, Tibet, and other nations unite in discussion at the 2025 UN General Assembly meeting, where we can collaboratively explore peaceful resolutions for Tibet's future. We implore the United Nations to facilitate negotiations leading to reciprocity and equity within this complex dynamic.

Only through dialogue and understanding can we foster an environment where the identity and human rights of Tibetans are respected. Please join us in our pursuit of peace, dignity, and autonomous freedoms. It's high time we brought the Tibetan issue to the forefront of international dialogue. Sign the petition today.
