Thank you for your support so far in signing the petition to restablish the Lockerbie Community Council. I received an email response from D&G Council today

Mr Poole, thank you for notifying us of the petition to re-establish Lockerbie Community Council.  In terms of the Scheme of Establishment (attached) the Council requires to receive the details of name and address of all supporters so that we can check these against the Register of Electors for the Lockerbie & District CC area.  I went into the link you sent to the petition and it does state 50 supporters but does not allow me to get the details.

I enclose the Petition we normally use for this purpose which fits the legal requirement of the Scheme and if you can download the names and addresses and send to me in that format that would be great, I can then check against the Register to validate the petition.

As I don't have your address information to hand, I only have some postcode details in the petition, I can only submit names and some data.

If you could share with me your address details via either email address below or FB messenger then I will complete the council petition document and respond on our behalf. Out of the 59 signatures, I see 44 are from Lockerbie/DG11
