When I was 13 years old, I was fascinated by the first Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) album. The technique and creativity of this band, especially Keith Emerson's virtuosity on the keyboard.

It is disheartening to see that one of the most successful progressive rock bands with nine albums certified gold in the United States of America and an estimated more than 35 million records sold worldwide has yet to be recognized in the prestigious “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.” 

ELP formed over half a century ago and their impact on progressive rock music is undeniable. Their innovative blend of elements of classical and rock music made them pioneers of their genre. Carl Palmer, the only surviving member of ELP, deserves to be honored for his contribution to this legendary band. The time has come to correct this oversight.
