Induct Alice In Chains into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Induct Alice In Chains into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
The Issue
Alice In Chains, an influential American rock band formed in 1987, has significantly contributed to the music industry. They were one of the original Seattle bands to find big success in the 90’s and were well known for their distinctive heavy vocal style and guitar-driven sound. They have sold over 30 million records worldwide including their masterpiece Dirt, Facelift, Jar of Flies, Sap and Tripod. Despite their undeniable impact on rock music, they are yet to be recognized by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This petition seeks to rectify this oversight by calling for their induction into the Hall of Fame. Their influence on countless artists and enduring popularity with fans make them more than deserving of this honor. Despite the loss of the vastly talented Layne Staley, with his powerhouse vocals, wide vocal range and his deeply introspective lyrics, and bassist Mike Starr with his dark, melodic bass heard through out their seminal Facelift and Dirt albums, they have forged on to continue to share their music with fans all over the world. Please sign this petition to support Alice In Chains' induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame including recognition for current members Jerry Cantrell, Sean Kinney, Mike Inez, and William Duvall, as well as the original lead vocalist and founding member Layne Staley and bassist Mike Starr.
