Friends, Please call Governor Eric Holcomb's office today to offer your support of a pardon for Keith Cooper: 317-232-4567 Besides on this petition site, I have shared this effort with everyone at the university where I teach and on all of my social media sites. I hope that this effort has a big impact, and you can help it to. Please do. People have often commented on where Keith Cooper should look for a lawyer. In fact, he has had a lawyer all along in this effort, one who practices law in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky for both the Exoneration Project and the Innocence Project. He recently had a big success in Kentucky, but again with a case that the slow wheels of justice have disadvantaged the already disadvantaged. Post in the comments about how your phone calls go. ---- I have also been thinking about this petition itself recently. It targets Mike Pence, who is now no longer able to pardon Keith. I don't know the rules of this site for editing a petition that has been ongoing for as long as this one has. If I can edit it this weekend, I will to reflect Eric Holcomb as the target of the effort, providing his contact information, and maybe posting a new photo. However, if I am unable to edit this petition, then I think it is time to close this one down and starting a new one directed towards Holcomb. Furthermore, though I know that 113,000 people have signed this petition, I haven't been able to draw upon the help of the thousands in months.
