Friends, I haven't sent an update in ten days here, in part because there hasn't been any news directly on Keith Cooper's pardon. Since the last update, Pence got called out by the performers of Hamilton, but what that led to was a New York Times editorial praising Pence for his defense of the media (http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/22/opinion/trump-and-pence-on-the-media.html). Residents of Indiana may feel an abiding sense of irony. Unless Mike Pence can be shamed, I no longer think that this petition can persuade him to pardon Keith Cooper. Therefore, I am beginning a new petition targeting the Congressional Black Caucus, asking them to call Pence out for his inaction in the cause of justice. The new petition is not online yet, but it will be this weekend. When it's online, I will post a link below in the comments to this thread, and I will post a new update to announce it. I will not shut this petition down. However, I will probably switch my activity to promoting the new petition, updating this only when there is actual news to announce. Thank you for your support of this effort. Sooner (I hope) or later, Keith Cooper will have his name cleared of the felony conviction. Let's work for sooner. Cheers, Jack Heller
