The first route will cover 214.81 km from Karaikudi to Thoothukudi and the second route from Thoothukudi to Kanyakumari via Tiruchendur will cover 247.66 km.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has welcomed Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's announcement that the work will begin soon.
