Yesterday an Indigenous Bri Bri leader of Salitre, Sergio Rojas Ortiz, was assassinated in his home. Earlier in the day, he was in Buenos Aires accompanying several Bri Bri communities to the Prosecutor's Office to denounce the usurpation of non-indigenous lands and the threats and aggression that they are suffering and facing; in total impunity and with the negligent actions of authorities.
