Protect the Kids Canada is a non-profit, grassroots organization founded in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Our work is driven by the passionate belief that we all have the responsibility to create a safer future for our children. 

We are seeking to increase the minimum prison sentences for crimes against children, including sexual interference, assault and exploitation. 

The current minimum sentence for many of these crimes is only 1 year. We want to see these outdated, ineffective sentences increased to a minimum of 9 years, with the maximum being life behind bars for serious repeat offenders.

For the future of our country, we must increase safety for all Canadian children. 

It’s a sad reality that we often see news outlets reporting of violent sexual offenders being released back into the same community they terrorized. Many of these offenders also do not have conditions that limit them from taking up residence near their victims, allowing for this horrible cycle of trauma and fear to continue.
