Increase the Frequency of Whatcom Therapy Dogs' Visits to Western Washington University

The Issue

Therapy dogs, according to American Kennel Club, are known to provide numerous physical and mental health benefits such as reducing anxiety and depression, and improving overall well-being. With this in mind, it is crucial that Western Washington University makes a conscious effort to host Whatcom Therapy Dogs more than the current frequency of once a quarter. This will provide students an opportunity to reap the health benefits that these therapy dogs can offer. The current system of visits does not adequately meet the needs of students who may need this form of therapy more frequently. By increasing the frequency of visits, WWU will strive to affirm its commitment to the well-being of its students. Let's request Western to take this significant step in supporting the health of its students. Sign the petition!
