I am a resident of Hoffman Estates, and there have been times when my family has struggled to put food on the table. We've sought help from local benefits, but unfortunately, these resources are not always available or distributed fairly within our community. This is sadly a common issue within the area. 

Hunger rates among children and impoverished families in Hoffman Estates are on the rise. According to Feeding America's 2020 report, 1 in 7 children may experience food insecurity this year due to the pandemic's economic impact (Feeding America). These statistics reflect a deeply concerning trend that we must address urgently.

We urge local government officials and community leaders to increase support for hunger relief programs. This includes expanding access to food banks, improving distribution of benefits, and ensuring these resources reach those most vulnerable.
