I can't believe what just happened. I checked about four hours ago and we had about 6,200 signatures. Now out of the blue we have ELEVEN THOUSAND AND GROWING?! I'm not sure where you all came from, but welcome aboard. I am rejoicing and overwhelmed with all your support. Change.org is promoting our initiative tomorrow morning, and we'll only grow from there. This is amazing team. In other news, I attended the funeral of Alaina Petty, a fourteen year old who was killed in the shooting. Seeing the family strong in their faith, rest assured that their daughter in Heaven is something that truly amazed me. I was watching the slideshow of this young girl's life and I couldn't bare to not sob. I don't know why, but I mourn for people who I didn't even directly know, and that's one of the reasons on why I wanted to start this campaign. I and many others don't want this to become just another shooting that we forget with no change. And it won't be. My friends from all across Broward County have been hurting. We all have some kind of void in our hearts from this tragedy, and as do I. I love all of you, and I thank you for supporting us. Keep our heads up and keep fighting. Let's go team.
