Today Canada’s consumer price index data for May was released and it shows that inflation rates have climbed to 7.7%, the highest rate in nearly four decades.
The cost of food, gas, and other essentials continues to skyrocket — yet ODSP rates haven’t been increased since 2018 (and even then, it was just a 1.5% increase!). How are we supposed to keep up?
Today's announcement is just another example of how urgently the Ontario government needs to increase ODSP rates. Ontarians with disabilities simply cannot survive like this any longer. This is an emergency, and we need our premier to respond accordingly.
