For over two decades, we, the dedicated Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS) providers in New York City, have tirelessly served our students without receiving a raise. Our experience and commitment are invaluable yet overlooked as we continue to work at a regular rate of $41.98 per hour. This is not just about compensation; it's about fairness and respect.

It has come to our attention that the district offers an hourly rate of $125 to other providers under the same P4 authorization "Claiming Fair Market Value". This disparity is not only unjust but also discriminatory against many hardworking professionals who are being unfairly treated with prejudice based on their rates on our P4 authorization forms.

We believe in equal pay for equal work. The value of our service should be recognized and compensated accordingly, especially considering the rising cost of living in New York City and the increasing demands of special education services.
