Following contact with police and Trading Standards I am now re-energising this petition. Thanks to supporters so far I have over 1000 signatures. When I reach 1500 the media is likely to pick it up. 

My main concentration remains to look at cancelling a Ltd liability if there is enough evidence/court case pending and stop cowboys setting up alternative/additional companies.

Some MPs, FMB and others are arguing for builder registrations, which is welcome, but that doesn’t stop them liquidating to avoid a court case. The Ltd liability issue is what needs to be additionally addressed.

I have recently come across a situation where a builder ran off with £100,000 of the consumer’s money leaving them to use their pension pot to correct/finish the work.
