Every patient leaving the hospital or managing critical conditions deserves timely access to essential medications. Currently, Medi-Cal members under Kaiser Permanente are not eligible for same-day pharmacy delivery, even when they can pay a small service fee. This policy leaves vulnerable patients at risk of complications, readmissions, and health deterioration, especially those with mobility challenges or serious illness. We respectfully urge Kaiser Permanente to: Allow same-day pharmacy delivery for all members, including Medi-Cal.
Provide the option to pay a nominal fee when delivery is not covered.
