I'm a dedicated season ticket holder who has proudly witnessed Vanderbilt University's sensational and historic football performance this season. What a sight it has been to watch this team grow, strive, and achieve an incredible record of 10-2. It is nothing short of disappointing that, despite our achievements in the SEC, a conference known for its competitive and rigorous nature, Vanderbilt is at risk of being overlooked for a spot in the College Football Playoffs.

Vanderbilt University's football team has exemplified strength, discipline, and skill on the field, representing not just our beloved institution, but embodying the spirit and tenacity of Nashville and Tennessee sports.

The state of college football deserves a Playoff selection that rewards teams based on actual performance, competition faced, and overall contribution to the sport. Ignoring a powerhouse team just because it belongs to a historically "less dominant" program undermines the integrity and excitement of college football. Instead of honoring a group of 5 conference champion with a weaker track record, it makes utmost sense to recognize Vanderbilt's deserving position in the Playoffs.
