The Issue

As a concerned citizen passionate about my country's growth and development, I've noticed an area where we lag behind: road and traffic discipline. As we rapidly progress and move towards becoming one of the world's most powerful economies, I cannot help but notice that our infrastructural progress is tainted by chaos and disregard for road and pedestrian safety.

I believe the root cause of this issue is the lack of awareness and understanding about traffic rules amongst the population. The problem starts from a young age as new drivers learn to navigate the roads by watching the previous generation's careless habits. As such, I propose a solution: integrating traffic rules education into the Indian school curriculum.

I urge the government to mandate comprehensive traffic rules and discipline education starting from first standard to the tenth. In fact, from the fifth standard onwards there should be a written test on the subject. It's essential that our future generation grows up understanding its role in fostering a disciplined, safer road environment.

Adding traffic rules education into the school syllabus is a step forward in growing responsible drivers and pedestrians, ultimately contributing to a safer and more disciplined society. It will also facilitate motor vehicle departments by making 10th standard traffic rules test scores a primary requirement for new license requests.

Let's strive for a future where our infrastructural development is matched by our societal awareness and respect for road safety. Sign the petition and urge the Indian Government to reform school education hand-in-hand with road discipline.
