Unlike Germany's Bundesliga, which starts its records in 1963 because the entire league structure was reinvented from regional divisions into a single national flight, or Russia, that reset its data in 1992 due to the collapse  of the Soviet Union, England's 1992 split was purely financial.  By wiping the slate clean, the Premier League and its broadcast partners have created an arbitrary historical vacuum that you don’t see in leagues like La Liga or Serie A, where icons from the 1930s rightfully share the same official leaderboard as modern superstars.
