Though initially HB2998, The Laser Hair Removal Act, is what created issues for us, Oklahoma Representative Eric Roberts has found a way to amend this bill through Title 59 HB1658. He has also been gracious enough to move this into his top 8 bills. HB1658 has been assigned to the Public Health Committee and is scheduled on the to be heard Monday, 02/24/2025. In this meeting, the committee will go over the proposed changes and account for the total benefits and potential risks these changes may have, and decide whether or not to send to the floor. The proposed changes are minimal, but will make a significant impact in clarifying the language and no longer exclude those of us who have worked very tirelessly to earn the positions we once held. We are absolutely making progress and I have great hope that this will be corrected.
