The Islamic Republic of Iran has a long history of Human Rights violations, oppression, injustice and abuse of power against the Iranian people. *
Any peaceful protest has faced Iron Fist suppression and led to killing and imprisonment of tens of thousands of innocent people. In an instance, the regime killed more than 1500 peaceful protesters in just 3 days in November 2019 while it had the Internet shut down for 9 days to prevent the news from reaching out to the world. In another instance they arrested Navid Afkari, a national champion Athlete, in a peaceful protest and executed him on false charges without going through the due legal process.
Regime laws consider women the second gender and half of a man in almost every aspect from family inheritance to testimonies in the courts. Regime propaganda constantly promotes polygamy and child-marriage. By law, women do not have access to high-ranking government positions and key roles such as judgeship.
Religious and sexual minorities are severely discriminated against and deprived of fundamental human rights. For example, Baha'is do not have access to university education and homosexuals are at risk of execution.
Dozens of student, labor, social, women and even charitable and environmental activists have been jailed for criticism or social activities to improve the situation on charges of acting against national security, while the country is in a state of crisis in all areas. Severe environmental mismanagement, for example, has rendered large parts of the country uninhabitable to humans and native animal species.
The dire human rights situation in Iran today has made it impossible to work and lead a normal life for the majority of the population. The influx of refugees over the past few years indicates that a huge flood of refugees will be headed to Western countries in the near future.
The US government and European countries intend to start new negotiations with Iran to replace the Nuclear agreement (JCPOA), planning to add Iran's Ballistic missiles program and Destabilizing regional activities to the negotiations.
We the undersigned are hereby urging the Western negotiating governments to make the issue of Human Rights violations one of the four main topics in the negotiations and to call on the Islamic Republic to stop killing and violating the fundamental rights of its citizens, and to declare punishments for the violations of those fundamental rights.
Human Rights are the universal rights of all human beings and not just Western citizens; They should be considered a precondition for any negotiation with the Islamic Republic regime. It is worth remembering that the South African Apartheid regime never stopped racial discrimination before the international community came together against the brutality.

درخواست درج حقوق بشر در مذاکرات با جمهوری اسلامی ایران

رژیم جمهوری اسلامی در ایران سابقه طولانی در نقض حقوق بشر و ظلم، بی‌عدالتی و سوءاستفاده صاحبان قدرت بر علیه مردم را دارد.
هر اعتراض صلح آمیز با سیاست مشت آهنین مواجه و منجر به قتل و زندان ده‌ها هزار نفر بی‌گناه شده است. به‌عنوان نمونه، رژیم در آبان ۹۸ طی ۳ روز ۱۵۰۰ نفررا در تظاهرات آرام به قتل رساند و هزاران نفر را بازداشت کرد، درحالی که برای جلوگیری از پخش اخبار اینترنت را به مدت ۹ روز قطع کرد. در نمونه دیگر ورزشکارقهرمان ملی، نوید افکاری، در یکی از اعتراضات بازداشت و با اتهامات واهی و بدون طی مراحل قانونی اعدام شد.
در قوانین رژیم، زنان جنس دوم و در اکثر موارد مانند ارثیه و شهادت در دادگاه‌ها نیمه یک مرد شمرده می‌شوند. در رسانه‌های رسمی حکومت کودک همسری و چندهمسری تبلیغ می‌شود و در بازار کار، زنان طبق قانون امکان دستیابی به پست‌های رده بالای دولتی و فعالیت‌های کلیدی مانند قضاوت را ندارند.
اقلیت‌های مذهبی و جنسی تحت شدیدترین تبعیض قرار دارند و از حقوق اولیه انسانی محروم هستند. به‌عنوان نمونه، بهائيان امکان تحصیل در دانشگاه‌ها را ندارند وهمجنس‌گرایان در خطر اعدام هستند.
ده‌ها تن از فعالین دانشجویی، کارگری، اجتماعی، زنان و حتی امور خیریه و محیط زیست، به‌علت انتقاد یا تلاش برای بهبود اوضاع به اتهام اقدام علیه امنیت ملی بهزندان انداخته شده‌اند درحالیکه کشور در همه زمینه‌ها دچار ابربحران است. مثلا سوءمدیریت شدید محیط زیست، بخش‌های زیادی از کشور را برای انسان‌ها وگونه‌های جانوری بومی غیرقابل سکونت کرده است.
شرایط وخیم حقوق بشر در ایران امروز، امکان کار و زندگی عادی را برای بخش بزرگی از جمعیت کشور از بین برده است. سیر پناهندگی چند سال اخیر نشان از آندارد که در آینده نه چندان دور سیل عظیمی از پناهندگان به‌سوی کشورهای غربی گسیل خواهند شد.
دولت آمریکا و کشورهای اروپایی قصد تجدید مذاکرات با ایران برای جایگزینی موافقتنامه هسته‌ایی (برجام) را داشته و اعلام تمایل کرده‌اند که برنامه موشکی وفعالیت‌های بی‌ثبات‌کننده منطقه‌ای ایران را به موضوعات مذاکرات اضافه کنند.
ما امضاکنندگان این نامه مصرانه از دولت‌های مذاکره کننده غربی میخواهیم که مساله نقض حقوق بشر را به‌عنوان یکی از ۴ موضوع اصلی در مذاکرات قرار دهند واز جمهوری اسلامی بخواهند که کشتار و نقض حقوق اساسی شهروندانش را متوقف نموده، زیرپاگذاشتن این موارد را مورد مجازات قرار دهند.
حقوق بشر به‌عنوان حقی جهان شمول حق همه انسان‌ها و نه فقط شهروندان غربی است و باید پیش فرض هر مذاکره‌ای با رژیم جمهوری اسلامی باشد. فراموش نکنیمکه رژیم آپارتاید آفریقای جنوبی هرگز تبعیض نژادی را تا قبل از فشار جهانی متوقف نکرد.
