As a retired member of the United States Coast Guard, I have always noticed how our branch is consistently underrepresented in military toy lines. G.I. Joe, known for its iconic representation of the armed forces, has yet to include the only G.I. Joe team member from the U.S. Coast Guard, CUTTER, in the Classified 6” toy line. The United States Coast Guard is a crucial branch of the Armed Forces, working tirelessly in ensuring maritime safety, security, and stewardship. It's high time that our contributions and sacrifices are acknowledged and represented in every medium, including toys that inspire the next generation.

Children across the country look up to G.I. Joe figures as representations of various military heroes. For those who see the valor in serving in the Coast Guard, it would be incredibly meaningful to see CUTTER represented in a toy line that highlights and celebrates the diverse roles within our military. Our men and women in the Coast Guard deserve the recognition that comes from such public representation, thereby inspiring not only young children but also bringing awareness to the pivotal roles the Coast Guard plays in national security, law enforcement, and maritime stewardship every single day.

The time has come for Hasbro to embrace the full scope of military service by including CUTTER in the esteemed Classified 6” toy line. This inclusion would not only honor the legacy of the Coast Guard within the G.I. Joe team but also educate the public on the significance of the Coast Guard's missions.

Let's call upon Hasbro to make this important addition and ensure that every branch of our Armed Forces is celebrated and acknowledged. Join me in signing this petition urging Hasbro to include G.I. Joe CUTTER in the Classified 6” toy line and help pave the way for a more inclusive and representative depiction of our military heroes.
