Torty the Tortoise wins over Alberta condo owners!
Today I am really disappointed in our media. I reached out to the Calgary Herald well over a week ago asking them to please create some visibility on the release of Service Alberta's condo governance Regulations and the condo survey, due next Tuesday, July 31, 2018. I did this because it appears Service Alberta did not issue a Media Release on the release of this material.
In spite of both phone call and email follow ups I have not received a response as to whether the Calgary Herald will inform Albertans, our 1 in 4 homeowners (25% of all Alberta homeowners) on Service Alberta's proposed legislation - legislation we see as incomplete, punishing, and condo owner costly.
If you are troubled by this why not give the Calgary Herald a call and let them know your thoughts. There's still time for them to do a story on this far-reaching, disturbing condo legislation.
If Torty the Tortoise can garner a Section A story in today's paper, surely the Calgary Herald can find some space for us as Alberta condo owners who pay all the condo complex bills, who are the economic engine behind ALL condo industry successes, and who will be negatively affected by this incomplete and punishing legislation for years, if not decades.
What do you think their resistance is all about? Why wouldn't they want to do a story on this?
