What do you think is more important? Condo legislation or scalper ticket sales?

I am being copied on some very powerful letters that condo owners are sending to Government expressing their outrage, disappointment, frustration and dismay about Service Alberta going through, yet again, another condo related open house/public consultation process AND about the surprise, short notice of the event, right in the middle of summer and before a long week-end. Who thinks of this kind of thing? It hits me as an arrogant and offensive move when likely Service Alberta staffers are working behind the scenes finalizing what they want to finalize and any feedback they receive will be put in the "We consulted with Albertans" file. As we have said MANY times, Service Alberta KNOWS what the issues are and it is time to get on with doing two things: creating new legislation to address the many shortcomings of the existing Amendments (and believe me there are many shortcomings!!!!!: just look at our list of Improvement Ideas located at www.albertacondominiums.ca in the DOCUMENTS tab) AND finalizing what they have now so it can be combined with what we want and need in additional new legislation. I realize with the revolving door of people who have circulated through Service Alberta, and who have worked on this massive program, that it must be tough working through all the details of this legislation but when I read that Service Alberta Minister Stephanie McLean wants to now focus her attention on addressing ticket scalpers (YES, you read that right ...) I would like to respectfully request she redirect her attention to condo legislation that will affect the property values; quality of life and stress levels; and the financial stability of approximately one million (1,000,000) Alberta condo owners. It's time for Service Alberta to get their priorities straight and get on with the job of consumer protection which is a core mandate of that department: wouldn't you think that creating new legislation on condo issues that cause no end of condo conflict and broken relationships, to say nothing of financial devastation in terms of cash calls and questionable money and maintenance management, would take a far higher priority than scalper ticket sales?
