Service Alberta blindsides us again-Public Consultations happening within days! PLS READ!!

Hello everyone: If this is a duplicate, my apologies, just trying to get the word out to as many people as possible. At 5:15 pm today, July 19, 2017, we learned Service Alberta has scheduled “Open House” public consultations related to the condominium legislation that is their current work-in-progress. It appears Service Alberta is fast tracking this legislation that we believe is incomplete, substandard, and punishing to Alberta condominium Owners. If you own an Alberta condo we implore you to do all possible to attend as many meetings as you can AND be ready to address your list of concerns. Unfortunately, there is no mention of including any of the significant and necessary “Improvement Ideas” we have presented to Government for a number of years. Indications are Alberta condo Owners could be the biggest losers in this process. The open houses are starting in less than one week. The first is in Red Deer on July 25, 2017 from 4 to 8PM. Refer to the document called “NEWSLETTER re Service Alberta …..” as that includes Service Alberta Minister Stephanie McLean’s announcement of the dates, times and locations.
