Online, and especially while texting, emojis play a crucial role in conveying our feelings and experiences. They help to express more than what our words can, facilitating better and lighter communication across the globe. However, the set of emojis available today is incomplete - there is no microwave emoji available.

The microwave is more than a simple kitchen appliance. According to statistics, as of 2019, 90% of American households own a microwave (source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). In Europe, approximately 75% of households use microwaves for their cooking needs (source: CECED Europe statistical data). Our conversations should reflect our daily lives, and including a microwave emoji will satisfyingly fill such a void in our digital communication.
